Google is Prepping Inbox2.0 →
Provided they add the right privacy features, I’m stoked about streamlining my email and social networks. Cross your fingers though, cause if Google screws this up, they are going to REALLY screw it up.
Usability Note
If you open an application while using another, the new app should not dominate the screen while you are using the other. For example, I opened Firefox and iTunes at the same time. Firefox fired up first and I began checking my email, etc. Of course, halfway through typing my password, iTunes has started up and taken over the screen.
I’m not sure if Mac’s do this or not, but this...

The Hacker Collaboration Evolution
These days we’ve moved to a specialty model, where specific skills and services can be purchased instead of learned. This is the natural evolution of humanity. It’s the foundation of modern society. Hunters and gatherers became farmers. Once food was no longer an issue, people niched out into every conceivable occupation and charged for their services.

This article makes me gag. I guess open source doesn’t count as community because it’s not a “Social Network.”

I can take 37 according to the the quiz. Honestly, I’m a little suprised. I would think more considering - ~I’m tall (6 feet 3 inches) with a long reach ~In good shape ~I’ve been training martial arts for 15 years, full contact for…fuck, 5 now I guess. ~I’m young (22) ~I’m a rat bastard whose moral compass disappears in actual combat (training is different).

Replying to Part II, DJNewStyle says:
If the problem is anonymity, the solution is mandated registration.
But requiring users to register creates its own complications.
I think that commenting is rotten at the core, and the solution is to just remove it entirely. Adding complexity will only create additional headaches.
