Hey CrossFitters and other Fitblrs,
I’m participating in Fight Gone Bad V this year and my goal is to raise $150.  This is my first, of many future community events, that I’m participating in.  So if you’d like to be a part of my journey to save a life or two, please feel free to donate by clicking the picture above.  Thanks!

Help my friend Jager out. I mean, “Saving lives one push press at a time” is the goddamned moto.

internerd:

Cisco and company, you’ve got approximately seven days before a security researcher rains down exploits on your web-based home router parade. Seismic’s Craig Heffner claims he’s got a tool that can hack “millions” of gateways using a new spin on the age-old DNS rebinding vulnerability, and plans to release it into the wild at the Black Hat 2010 conference next week. He’s already tested his hack on thirty different models, of which more than half were vulnerable, including two versions of the ubiquitous Linksys WRT54G (pictured above) and devices running certain DD-WRT and OpenWRT Linux-based firmware. To combat the hack, the usual precautions apply — for the love of Mitnick, change your default password! — but Heffner believes the only real fix will come by prodding manufacturers into action. See a list of easily compromised routers at the more coverage link.
(via Researcher will enable hackers to take over millions of home routers — Engadget)

lollers @ “for the love of Mitnick”. Still, owning a wireless router is relatively trivial but I’m up for anything that speeds up the process. I’m more interested in Hoff’s browser darknet and Zovi + Chris Gates Metasploit for alt OS’s (ORACLE OMG).
And the bSide content which doesn’t really need to be said considering it’s usually light years ahead of the main con’s content.

Luna Lovegood, you’re like… really pretty.

I’ll confess to never having read the books and only seeing pieces of the last couple movies, but from what I saw, Luna is a pretty down ass chick. Harry should be trying to hit that instead of Ron’s little ginger sister.
Also: yowza.

so true blood got me thinking about why all the new pop culture vampire stuff places them in a modern day setting. what they need to do is make a spinoff of viking eric versus 9th century vampires/werewolves. shit would be EPIC.
any one know of a decent historical setting vampires vs anything (romans, vikings, etc)? indie comic books or something, maybe?

Relevant to my interests.
